EMERALD COAST PICKLEBALL CLUB HISTORY

We have joined with our pickleball friends from Pensacola to Tallahassee, Florida; our seasonal visitors and others who would like to participate and know more about pickleball on the Emerald Coast. Our membership consists of those who like to work together to promote the growth of pickleball; teach the game; encouraging sportsmanship and camaraderie through fun and exercise. We encourage individual membership to join the USA Pickleball Association (www.USAPA.org) as well as supporting our community organizations through volunteerism activities as representatives of the ECPC.
Some members became “CHARTER” member in 2014 by joining before December 31, 2014. Charter members remain Charter members as long as they continue to be members in good standing continuously, year after year. If a Charter member skips a year of membership by payment deadline of December 31, they will no longer qualify as a Charter member.
As of January 2018 the Annual Membership will now be directed to the Destin United Methodist Church. The annual membership is $20 per calendar year. With this membership you will receive a $2 discount each time you come in and play at the DLC "Destin Life Center". With every New/Renewal Membership applicant a “Membership Application” with waiver must be completed and signed; and dues received before membership is accepted. Membership dues to the DUMC help offset the cost of maintaining our website during the year as well as merchandise and supplies for our tournaments and events. We are not a profit making club nor a non-profit club but a “just cover the cost of expenses” club.
ECPC’s calendar year is from January 1 to December 31 of every year. New members joining ECPC throught the DLC during the calendar year from January 1 up to October 1 will pay $20 per person for membership of the present year as applying.

Dues for each year are $20.00 per person and payment is by cash or check (drawn on USA bank) only. If you are paying by check, please make check payable to DUMC and deliver or mail with your completed “2018 Membership Application” which you can pick up at The Destin Life Center.

Also with every membership comes full access to the ECPC website, www.emeraldcoastpickleballclub.com, that contains information about our Club, it’s members and other pickleball groups extending from Pensacola to Tallahassee along the Emerald Coast of Florida; the latest on tournaments, news, photos, socials, calendars, videos on how to improve your game and recognition to our sponsors; as well as information from our local, state, and national USAPA pickleball friends. Club membership also qualifies for a discount on purchases of merchandise offered by ECPC as well as Pickleball Central.

Membership does not give our members free admission to pickleball courts. We do have some courts that are free for play and most of these are outdoors and maintained by private neighborhood associations, athletic clubs as well as city/county parks and recreation departments. Most of our public or private indoor/outdoor courts have minimal charges when guest are using their facilities.
